Castletown based Fiduciary and Pension firm Optimus Limited are pleased to make a donation to the charity ‘Make-A-Wish’ through various staff initiatives.
Staff have the opportunity to nominate a charity every couple of months with money then raised for the particular charity. Make-A-Wish was nominated by one of their Client Administrators, James Bailey, who also accepted the cheque on their behalf.
“It is great that this charity was selected and we were able to raise funds for them”, said James, “the work they do and the wishes they grant for young children is incredible and we are delighted to contribute to a child’s wish.”
Make-A-Wish was established just over 30 years ago and grants magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Charitable donations have now helped grant more than 11,000 magical wishes to date which have included; helping children met the real Santa in Lapland, organising a day at CBEEBIES to see how the magazine is made, and even arranging to have their very own life sized Storm Trooper made.
“This is a great charity and one that everybody in the office can see the immense benefits of”, said Sophie Hancox, Team Leader at Optimus Fiduciaries Limited “we are continuing to look for ways we can assist the community by raising money for charity through volunteer work and the giving of our time.
’Optimus In the Community’ continues to encourage staff to get involved and to give something back to the community and charity. Last year saw staff donate over £2000 to charities as well as volunteering at the Home of Rest for Old Horses with their annual Christmas Experience Event.
