Island firms host planning seminars in London

Pension specialists QB Partners (recently rebranded from QROPS Bureau) and Castletown based Pension provider Optimus Pension Administrators Limited (OPAL) co-hosted two seminars in London last week to a number of private client advisers regarding the latest planning opportunities with regards to international pensions.

The presentations were made to over 50 advisers ranging from tax advisers, wealth managers to private bankers on the advantages available to both UK domiciled and non-domiciled individuals utilising various International Pensions.

“The UK state pension outlook isn’t great and with tax relieved limits sliding to a dismal 10% for highest earners, we constantly have advisers asking us for alternative opportunities for their private clients.” explains David White of QB Partners, “Using various international pensions solutions, for the right clients, it can enable them to potentially achieve gross roll-up with non-UK assets and can fall outside of their estate for IHT purposes”.

QB Partners who having been founded in 2009 has quickly evolved to be one of the most well regarded international pensions specialists in the UK and beyond. OPAL administer of Isle of Man international pensions that include QROPS, QNUPS and SIPPs and over the past year have been developing corporates and personal schemes across Africa.

The seminars were also streamed live over YouTube and was watched by a number of international advisers ranging from United Arab Emirates, South Africa and Malta.
